Coaching Certificate in Young People and Adults
UPDATE 17th March 2014
Dates for the Courses are:
Cricket Ireland has agreed to deliver a Coaching Certificate in Young People and Adults course (superseded the former ECB Level Two) in April/May 2014. This has been predominantly arranged to assist clubs who are contracting overseas players for the 2014 season to successfully achieve their qualification in line with the existing Governing Body Endorsement criteria.
However both the NW and NCU would encourage all clubs to maximise attendance at this course by nominating additional individuals and this should be done by emailing Stephen Moreton at email@example.com. The maximum number able to attend the course will be 24 and names will be taken on a first come first served basis.
Clubs who intend to put their overseas player through this course should note that they must provide Cricket Ireland with written confirmation from the club that it will be liable for its player’s “share” of the final costs and ensure that the player completes the course over the four specified days of the course. If the club needs a Governing Body Endorsement for their overseas player, this written guarantee must be received by Cricket Ireland before any endorsement will take place.
Each participant who undertakes the course will also be required to do six coaching sessions which must be supervised by a qualified (ECB Level 2 or above, OR equivalent) and insured coach who will be agreed with Cricket Ireland during the course.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact Stephen at the above email address.
