Down High First In Last Four

Down High School have become the first team to reach the semi finals of the Ulster Bank Schools Cup with a convincing 51-run victory over Grosvenor Grammar School. The Downpatrick side posted 144 thanks to 63 from Ricky Gill and C Mason with figures of four wickets for five runs saw to it that Grosvenor fell well short at 93 all out.

Meanwhile holders Limavady Grammar School's attempt to reach the quarter finals has again been thwarted by the weather& and will now meet Sullivan Upper on Tuesday 3rd June. The winners will be at home to Regent House and the remaining two quarter finals will see Strabane Academy at home to RBAI and Foyle College at home to Campbell College.

The Second Round draw and results so far are:

    Strabane Academy won by 9 wickets

  • Sullivan Upper v Limavady GS

    Foyle College won by 66 runs

  • Down High School beat Friends School by 9 wickets
