Donaghadee Cricket Club Hold Their Annual Charity Game
Jordan McCluskey Donaghadee CC
Donaghadee Cricket Club held their annual charity game against a Belfast Telegraph Select XI, this year in aid of the NI Cancer Fund for Children.
Despite the atrocious rainfall that afternoon, the game got underway in glorious sunshine after only a half hour delay.
The game was played in a fantastic spirit once again and was decided with a 6 off the last ball allowing the Tele team to match the Dee score and the game ending in a draw.
However charity was again the real winner – over £1,300 being raised for The NI Cancer Fund for Children.
In the 4 years this game has taken place, over £6,000 has been raised for local children’s charities.
Big thanks to all those who participated, supported, sponsored a player, or were involved in any way this year
