Holders RBAI are through to the last eight - Ulster Bank Schools Cup Update
Robin Walsh Holders RBAI are through to the last eight of the Ulster Bank Ulster Schools cup with a run-affected four wicket win over Regent House and will now host Belfast High School for a place in the semi-finals. The two best performances of the round came from Belfast Royal Academy's Jack Burton and Andrew Forbes. Burton was undefeated on 75 as his side posted 147 for 6 against Ballyclare High School and Forbes hit the stumps four times in succession as Ballyclare slumped to a 101 run defeat. Campbell College's second string continued their cup run with with a narrow 1-0 bowlout victory over Royal School Dungannon. The results of the second round that have been completed are:Sullivan Upper 77 (J Matchett 18, P Beverland 4-4, R Wightman 2-9, P Telford 2-18) Belfast HS 144-8 (A Kelso 66, T Onyekwelu 2-16, D Robinson 2-31) Belfast Royal Academy 147-6 (J Burton 75no) Regent House 97-9 (J Halliday 23, M Mairs 3-11) Campbell College 2nd XI beat RS Dungannon in a bowl out (1-0) Wallace High School play Strabane Academy and Foyle College play Friends School on Friday.
