Coaching Our Player's to Play Smart…
NCUCA The Northern Cricket Union Coaches Association (NCUCA) would like to announce that there will be a series of Play Smart Coach Education workshops starting the week beginning the 8th June. The workshops will run for four consecutive weeks across four locations and will be focussed at those coaches who coach at U9 through to U13 age group levels. The programme has been designed to further underpin the ever strengthening foundations at U9 and U11 regional development squads (RDS) level. Andy McCrea who is the current NCU U11 Lead Coach has very kindly offered to share his key development principles - as a result we have been able to design the workshop(s) content to align with these principles. We would like to encourage all coaches who coach at schools and clubs with junior sections to attend at least one of the workshops so as to benefit from the resource which will be made available for those in attendance and to observe the latest RDS coaching principles within a structured coaching session - these workshops are an observation / hand-outs and discussion opportunity only (non-active). The Play Smart Workshops are as follows: Templepatrick Cricket Club Waringstown Cricket Club CSNI Cricket Club Saintfield Cricket Club Please note: Coaches are requested to report to the club houses at the above venues on their arrival where a NCUCA representative will take your details and direct you accordingly. The workshops will be coach led by the Tutor coaches mentioned above and they will be assisted by the respective hosting club coaches. For further information on the Play Smart workshops or NCUCA membership please contact Scott Irvine on scott.irvine@cricketireland.ie *** In the case of a workshop cancellation (due to bad weather etc.) - please refer to the NCUCA Twitter account (@ncucoaches) for information or call Nigel Jones, Cricket Ireland Regional Development Officer (NCU) on 07585 400121 *** |
