"It is with deep regret that I am informing you of the untimely passing of Eric Twadell. Eric was a former President and Chairman of NIC&FC. He was chairman of NICC in the last season at Ormeau in 2001 and along with others was instrumental in organising a fantastic last year culminating in the visit of the Australians to Ormeau in August.

Eric also was a fine cricketer in his own right representing NICC at all levels, he also was a fine rugby referee and latterly an assessor. He continued to follow CSNICC and was at Comber last year to watch the 1st X1 lift the Senior Cup.

Eric's funeral will be on Tuesday at midday at St Johns, Malone Road.
