NCU Under 11s Win Their First Inter-Pro Match Of The Season

In the first official under 11 Inter Pro of the season, the NCU travelled to Ardmore CC to play the NWCU under 11s.
NCU won the toss and decided to bat with an opening partnership of 30 between Sam topping ( 19 ret ) and Adam Kennedy ( 17 ) setting good foundations. Other contributors in the innings were Cameron Doak ( 34 not out ) and James Rose ( 26 not out ) who had a 50 run partnership to finish the innings on 131 for 5 off the 30 overs.
In reply the NCU bowlers constantly chipped away at NWCU wickets. Matthew Halliday opened the bowling with 3 wickets for 9 runs off 3 overs, Ben White the other opener had 1 wicket for 9 runs in his 3 overs. Captain Matthew Daly backed his openers up well with 4 overs, 3 wickets for 9 runs. James Rose bowled 2 overs, 2 wickets for 1 run and Carson McCullough bowled 2 maidens, picking up a wicket.
NCU ran out winners by 82 runs as they bowled NWCU out for 49 in the 16th over.
The NCU's next fixture will be at home on 12th August against Leinster CU.
