There were a couple of notable performances in the NCU during Saturday's league programme.

First up was Neil Gelston taking 7 wickets for 6 runs and a hat trick in Drumaness's 5 wicket win over Victoria in Section 2.

But surely the most remarkable performance came from Muckamore's Richard Keates. He smashed what must surely be the fastest 50 seen in NCU league cricket during Muckamore's Section 1 encounter with Lurgan at Pollock Park.

Coming to the crease in the 45th over he notched up a half century off only 12 balls which included 6 sixes and 2 fours.

He finished on 65 not out but ultimately his quick fire score was in vain as thanks to Niranjan Godbole's 99 and Cameron Grieve's 82 Lurgan chased down Muckamore's score of 246 for 6 to win the match by 6 wickets.
