Belfast Under 14 squad Named For This Year's Triangular Cricket Tournament
Roger Bell The Belfast Under 14 squad has been named for this year's Triangular Cricket Tournament between Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow, which will be held at Ayr CC on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August. The tournament was organised for the first time in 2012 to fill the considerable void left when the popular Lord's Taverners' Inner Cities Competition at Arundel was discontinued. The Belfast team won the tournament in 2012 and 2013, picking up the Charlie Beverland Memorial Cup. The 2014 tournament was washed out, so they will be hoping for better weather this year. The 2015 squad, which will be captained by Archie Johnston of Civil Service North , is as follows:
Manager: Roger Bell The Management team would like to thank Norman Shannon, Stephen Hughes, and Peter McMorran for their generous support , which has made the continuation of this event possible. Thanks also to George Wilson who was associated with this team for many years and has had to retire for health reasons, and to Andrew Cowden who served as coach for several years and has stood down for family reasons. |
