NCU Representative Directorate

This is the third year that the NCU Representative Directorate have provided coaching for boys and girls in years P4 and P5. This year 27 boys and girls from ten clubs have been nominated. The results have been there for all to see with the standard of players progressing into Under 11s Head Coach Andy McCrea's squad improving every year.

This year's Under 9 squad were so enthusiastic to practice their cricket skills that after one week they requested their coaches to increase their time at Ulster University by half an hour which was duly arranged by the organiser Alan Waite.

Boys and girls travelled from all over, with one boy coming every week from Enniskillen. Their eagerness was further shown by the fact that nobody missed a session and everybody was there for the start at 9.30 on Sunday mornings.

As if the squad did not get enough cricket at Jordanstown they have already had their first outdoor session at Muckamore cricket club.  Coaches Peter Bates, Chris Yeates, Regan West, Richard Keates, Ally McCalmont and Robin Johnston were delighted with the quality and enthusiasm on show and intend to continue with the Sunday morning sessions and maybe organise some matches for the squad.
