NCU Indoor Winter League 2016-17
NCU Representative Cricket UPDATE - CRITERIA CHANGE (18th November 2016): Please note: the competition will only go ahead if team registration numbers are sufficient. The Indoor Winter League format will be played as a 6 a-side competition with teams being able to register up to 10 players per team for the season. The league will be open to player registrations from all clubs from within the NCU - however total league team entries are capped at 6 teams so it is advisable to have your team registered for ASAP to avoid disappointment. Each team will play two rounds of fixtures (10 matches in total) before a finals evening for those who have qualified. [Click this link for the registration attachment: NCU Indoor Winter League 2016-17 (docx)] There will be a registration fee of £5 per player to be paid BEFORE the start of each match – i.e. pay as you play! Individual and team stats will be recorded throughout the Indoor Winter League season with the help of CricHQ scoring system – these will be made available on the NCU website at the conclusion of weekly competition. Matches will be played with a yellow Indoor Cricket ball which will be provided by the NCU. There is no rule on clothing, however to give each team an identity we encourage teams to consider a playing uniform or at the very least matching tops. Teams are also encouraged to come up with a team name (subject to league secretary approval) e.g. East Belfast Bears. Dates and Times The Indoor Winter League will run on Thursday evenings from 7pm-10pm.
A full list of fixtures will be released once all teams have registered. The league will be hosted by Wallace High School – 12a Clonevin Park, Lisburn, BT28 3AD *Please note that finding a suitable and available (block booking) facility has proved to be extremely difficult and we are very grateful on this occasion to Wallace High School for being so accommodating with our proposal and supporting this exciting new competition. |
