The Northern Cricket Union has announced the Northern Knights squad for the 2017 Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial 20 Series (IP20) fixture against Leinster Lightning, at Merrion Cricket Club, on Friday June 9th.

The Northern Knights will be captained by James Shannon, with Jacob Mulder returning to the squad after injury. Unavailable for selection were Lee Nelson, Stephen Bunting and James Magee due to injury.

This weekend will be culmination of an arduous seventeen days for The Northern Knights players when they play this match, and League and Irish Cup matches with their clubs on Saturday and Sunday. Many of the players will have played cricket on fifteen of the last seventeen days including travel to Cork, Strabane, Eglinton, Belfast and Dublin.
