Richard White NCU PRO The Northern Cricket Union (NCU) has announced their Under 14 squad for The West Cricket Festival at King's College, Taunton from Sunday 23rd to Friday 28th of July 2017, where the squad will initially compete against Cornwall, Cheshire and Northamptonshire. The other teams in the competition are: Essex, Kent, Lancashire and Trinidad and Tobago.
The tour management/coaches will be Uel Graham, Callum Atkinson and Wayne Hughes. Talking about the West Cricket Festival, Tour Manager Uel Graham said, 'The NCU are delighted to have been invited to return to the West Cricket Festival for the second year at Under 14 level. Indeed when this party arrives the Under 11 squad will be playing their inaugural match at the Festival. This tournament is an integral part of the development of our youth high performance programme, providing early pathways to support player and coach development. Having personally observed two Northern Knights (First Class) centuries this week by James McCollum and captain, James Shannon, it is clearly evident that future opportunities for these younger players are now becoming a reality. Again, this has been made possible through the commitment of players, parents and coaches and the support of our sponsors.' Under 14 Cricket Festival at Taunton (King's College)
