Defeat for Northern Knights against North West Warriors
The Northern Knights lost by eight wickets to the North West Warriors in the Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial 50 Series, at Stormont. It proved to be a comprehensive victory for the visitors as Ireland captain William Porterfield finished undefeated on 110, as The Warriors reached their target of 227 in the 47th over. The foundations for victory were laid in an opening stand of 158 between Porterfield and David Rankin, who made 84 runs. Earlier in the day David Scanlon took four wickets as the Northern Knights were bowled out for 226, in 47.1 overs.
