Clear Currency Irish Senior Cup Quarter Finals – Take 2

Richard White (NCU PRO)

After last Sunday's complete washout of all four of the Clear Currency Irish Senior Cup Quarter Finals they are all rearranged for this Sunday, the reserve date for the games.

Under the rules of this competition all last week's home teams must now travel to their opponents and that means both NCU sides, CSNI and Waringstown, travel to Dublin after last Sundays washout.

CSNI take on Leinster Premier League side Clontarf, the Irish Cup champions in 2013, and runners up the following season.

The current Irish Cup holders Waringstown take on another Dublin side, Pembroke, as the Villagers aim to reach a fourth successive final.

The two other matches are Leinster v Merrion and Phoenix v Strabane

Sunday Fixtures

  • Clontarf v CSNI, at Castle Avenue, Dublin
  • Leinster v Merrion, Rathmines, Dublin
  • Pembroke v Waringstown, Sydney Parade, Dublin
  • Phoenix v Strabane, Phoenix Park, Dublin

In the Clear Currency Irish National Cup Quarter Finals two games did manage to beat the rain. The two remaining games to be played this Sunday are:

  • Ballyspallen v St Johnston, Broighter Road, Limavady
  • Limerick v Knockharley, Adare, Co. Limerick
