Richard White (NCU PRO) &
Wylie McKinty
Robinson Services

The Robinson Services Premier League reaches the halfway stage this weekend, Lisburn will be looking to maintain their lead in Section 1 when they host near neighbours Derriaghy and in Section 2 Templepatrick and Cliftonville Academy will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Robinson Services Premier League

Armagh will aim to move off the bottom of the Robinson Services Premier League table at the weekend as they have two home fixtures at The Mall, against Muckamore on Saturday, and Instonians the following day.

Since winning on opening day against Saturdays opponents Armagh have lost their next five so this weekends fixtures are crucial to their Premier League survival hopes.

Waringstown and CIYMS are level on points at the top, only seperateed by run rate, and will look to keep the pressure on each other, as the Villagers travel to Carrickfergus, and CIYMS are at home to North Down.

The remaining fixture on Saturday is at Shaw's Bridge between Instonians and CSNI, with the latter currently four points above Armagh.

Saturday Fixtures

  • Armagh v Muckamore, at The Mall, Armagh
  • Carrickfergus v Waringstown, at Middle Road, Carrickfergus
  • CIYMS v North Down, at Belmont, Belfast
  • Instonians v CSNI, at Shaw's Bridge, Belfast

Sunday Fixtures

  • Armagh v Instonians, at The Mall, Armagh

Robinson Services League Section 1

In Section 1 Lisburn host Derriaghy in the third meeting of these teams this season and will be hoping their recent good form continues. Derriaghy lost heavily last week against Holywood but form means nothing in local derbies.

The other top game of the weekend in Section 1 sees second and third face each other as Downpatrick host Holywood with the teams only split by run rate.

The other team on 28 points Bangor face a tricky trip to Cregagh, Woodvale travel to Laurelvale and Lurgan, after picking up their first win in the league last weekend, face the short trip down the road to take on the team just above them Donacloney Mill.

Saturday Fixtures

  • Cregagh v Bangor, at Gibson Park, Belfast
  • Downpatrick v Holywood, at The Meadow, Downpatrick
  • Laurelvale v Woodvale, at Mullavilly Road, Tandragee
  • Lisburn v Derriaghy, at Wallace Park, Lisburn
  • Lurgan v Donacloney Mill, at Pollock Park, Lurgan
