CIYMS defeated Waringstown to take a firm hand on the Robinson Services Premier League Robinson Services Premier League CIYMS have taken a firm hand on the Robinson Services Premier League after defeating Waringstown on Sunday by 136 runs. John Matchett scored 73 and Matt McGillivray 51 not out, as CIYMS set Waringstown 264 runs to win. Jason van der Merwe took four wickets for 21 runs as The Villagers were bowled out for 127. CIYMS have a four point lead with a game in hand at the top of the table. North Down defeated Armagh by 150 runs, with Ruhan Pretorious scoring a monumental 188. Armagh remain bottom of the table, twelve points adrift. On Saturday Waringstown had defeated North Down by 87 runs, with Adam Dennison scoring a magnificent 147 (his second in 8 days at Comber). Spin bowlers Kyle McCallan and Gary Kidd took seven North Down wickets, with only Ruhan Pretorious passing fifty (82). A youthful Instonians side beat Muckamore in a thrilling encounter at Shaw's Bridge. Andrew White took five wickets and scored 77 runs, Robert McKinley hit 65, but it was fifteen year old Matthew Humpreys who saw Instonians to victory with a composed 31 not out. Fahad Iqbal and Craig Drummond had earlier posted half centuries as Muckamore were bowled out for 232. Andre Malan scored a century (104) to ensure CSNI took the points against Carrickfergus. Morgan Topping produced an all round performance, taking three wickets in the Carrickfergus innings of 226 all out. He then scored 47 runs alongside Andre Malan to see CSNI to victory.
