Robinson Services Senior League Awards - June/July 2018

The latest Robinson Services Awards for June and July took place recently. The Robinson Services awards go to players in the senior leagues who score a century, take at least six wickets or perform a hat trick.

The awards were presented by David Robinson, Managing Director of Senior League sponsors Robinson Services, and the President of the NCU, Clarence Hiles.

  1. Jeremy Burrows (Cooke Collegians) receiving a league award on behalf of his teammate Shahid Halil for his 6-14 against Ards on July 7.
  2. Ballymena brothers Sam (second left) and John Glass receive league awards for outstanding performances earlier in the season. 19-year-old Sam took 6-20 against BISC and 18-year-old John went one better with awards for both bowling and batting. He returned the remarkable figures for 8-9 against Cooke Collegians in June and a week later scored 110 against Monaghan.
  3. Larne's Eddie Hunter collects an award for scoring a century (111 not out) against Dundrum earlier in the season. Eddie also picked up an award for teammate Chris Keenan who scored an undefeated 120 against Cooke Collegians in June.
  4. Matthew Lyttle (Donacloney Mill) receiving a league award for his 100 against Lurgan on July 21.
  5. Mark Adair (Holywood) receiving a league award for his 7-31 against Derriaghy on July 14.
  6. Rohit Karanjkar (Lurgan) receiving a league award for his 148 against Bangor on July 7.
  7. Andrew Nixon (Bangor) receiving a league award for 6-25 against Cregagh on July 21. He also collected an award for Chris Burns for his 133 against Lurgan on July 7.
  8. David Skelton (Derriaghy) collects a league award for Ross Bailey in recognition of his century (104 not out) against Woodvale in July.
  9. Downpatrick's Ryan Smyth collects a League award for scoring a century (115) against Lurgan earlier in the season. Ryan also picked up a bowling award for teammate Matt Acocks who took 6-37 against Holywood in July.
  10. Lisburn's David Simpson collects two awards from one match for one of the best all round performances in the history of NCU senior cricket. The all-rounder hit 126 and took 6 for 42 against nearest rivals Bangor in June to help his side on their way to the top of Section 1 of the Senior League and in pole position for a return to the Premier League.
  11. JJ Strydom (Woodvale) receiving a league award for his 114 not out against Holywood on July 1. He also collected two awards for his teammate Mark Irwin for his 100 not out against Donacloney Mill on June 23 and 108 against Laurelvale on July 21.
  12. Jordan McClurkin (Instonians) receiving a league award for his 109 against Armagh on July 22.
  13. Jacob Mulder (CIYMS) receiving a league award for his hat trick against North Down on July 21.
  14. Andrew Cowden (CSNI) receiving a league award on behalf of his teammate Andre Malan for his undefeated 130 against Instonians on July 21.
  15. North Down's Craig Yelverton collects League awards for teammates Ruhan Pretorius and Daniel Graham who both scored centuries against Instonians in July. Graham was undefeated on 126 not out and Pretorius hit 124 as the pair put on 231 for the first wicket.
