Minor (Lindsay) Cup Final

The final of the Minor (Lindsay) Cup Final, sponsored by Cleaver Black, will be played between CSNI IV and Muckamore IV, at Laurelvale Cricket Club, on 18 August 2018 (Noon Start).

The competition is now contested by teams in Junior League 4, 5, and 6. Muckamore IV's were beaten in last years final by Laurelvale II's, but their Third Eleven were victorious in 2015. Civil Service III's won the trophy back in 1959, and the North of Ireland Cricket Club III's claimed the title on seven occasions: 1952, 1955, 1962, 1963, 1975, 1976, and 1994.

CSNI IV's progressed to the final with a bye in the First Round, followed by a comprehensive 243 run victory against Cooke Collegians II's. Chris Elliott scored 93 and took 2 wickets in a 22 run win against Donaghadee II's, in Round 3, and the experienced Stephen Dyer turned in an all round performance in the semi-final win against Lisburn III's, scoring 92 not out and taking three wickets.

Muckamore IV's defeated Woodvale IV's by 8 wickets, and Instonians IV's by 5 wickets in the opening rounds. Donacloney Mill III's were overcome in the third round, and a 4 wicket win against BISC II's, saw the County Antrim side into the final.

Minor Qualifying Cup Final

The final of the Minor Qualifying Cup will be played between Larne II and Templepatrick III, at Sandy Bay, Larne on 18 August 2018 (Noon Start).

Neither club has won the Minor Qualifying Cup before, which is contested by teams in NCU Junior Leagues 7 and 8.

Larne II's progressed to the final with a first round bye, followed by a second round walkover against Monaghan II's. In the third round they had a comprehensive 123 run victory over Laurelvale III's, and sealed their final place by defeating Cliftonville Academy IV's by 6 wickets.

Templepatrick III's received a bye in the first round, and then had three 9 wicket victories over Saintfield III's, CIYMS IV's, and BISC III's to reach the final.

Templepatrick First Eleven recently won the GMcG Junior Cup, and the Lagan Valley Steels Twenty 20 Shield, so this is the third final of 2018 for the Templepatrick Club.

All players, officials, and supporters will be most welcome at Laurelvale Cricket Club and Sandy Bay, Larne Cricket Club.
