The tie of the week came between CSNI and Muckamore, who both went in to the match undefeated in the league. Both, had also progressed to the next round in the Gallagher challenge cup the previous week with convincing wins. Muckamore hosted the Stormont side and batted first. Opener Amy Caulfield was reliable as ever and played a lovely innings racking up 33 runs which included 5 boundaries.

However, she was the only one in the Muckamore team reaching double figures. Jemma Gillan started playing for CSNI this season and has been very impressive thus far, with both bat and ball. She took 4-12 in her allotted overs. Leah Beattie and Emma Scott both contributed by taking 2 wickets each for Civil.

CSNI went out chasing 77 runs, which was more than achievable given their strength and depth throughout the batting order. Ali Cowan and Rachel Thomas opened the batting and reached 41, Cowan with 27 and Thomas with 14.

In the end CSNI won the match comfortably by 7 wickets being brought home by Leckey and Gillan.

Instonians ladies have started their season considerably better than their male counterparts. They have won all their matches to date. Their match against Carrickfergus was to be no different. Carrick batted first and posted 69-7. Freya Watson and Katie Pallin both bowled well for getting 2-11 and 2-7 respectively.

Instonians were confident going in to their innings with a team that included several players involved in NCU regional development squads, as did Carrick. Ellen Sterritt batted well (27) and was ably supported by Amy Hunter (15*). Emily Arbuthnot was vital with the ball for Carrick (1-4). The match finished with a 9 wicket victory for Instonians.

North Down travelled to Seapark to play Holywood. Holywood bowled and fielded extremely well which arguably won them the game. Several of the Holywood team took wickets. Katie Nevin (3-14), Katie Hill (2-12) and Tori Rollo (1-15). Karen Moore was the only batter for the Comber side which provided any resistance scoring 14. Hollywood's openers set the tone by having an opening stand of 47.

Gracie Keenan continues to bowl well for North Down (1-12), however this wasn't enough to stop opener Ellen Buckland scoring an unbeaten 35, supported by the likes of Melissa Rollo (12) to lead Holywood to an 8 wicket victory.
