The Northern Cricket Union can confirm that the traditional two day fixture against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), held at Middle Road, Carrickfergus Cricket Club, will be changed to two separate 'one day' 50 overs per side games next week, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th June. (1045 am start both days).

Simon Johnston, Northern Knights Head Coach said, 'We were frustrated with the weather two weeks ago when we had scheduled three days cricket against North West and Leinster Bolts, only to play 15 overs on the first day.

We chatted to the MCC, and they have agreed to the change of format to enable the NCU to have more players involved, across the two days, nineteen players will be involved.

We are also trying to get further Emerging Knights fixtures in the calendar for the end of the season, and hope to finalise these in the coming weeks.
