A century from Jacques Snyman helped Carrickfergus pick up their opening win in the Lagan Valley Steels T20 Cup. 

The South African struck 121 off 61 balls in an innings that included 15 fours and seven sixes to help Carrickfergus post 200-4 in their 20 overs. 

He had support from Iain Parkhill (29) and Jeremy Lawlor (20). Boyd Rankin was the pick of the Lisburn bowlers, claiming figures of 2-33 in his four overs. 

In reply, Neil Gill took four wickets as Lisburn were bowled out for 84 with 3.2 overs unused. 

In the evening's other game, North Down had a comfortable 10 wicket win over Woodvale. Chasing a modest Woodvale total of 78-8 North Down skipper Ally Shields with 43no and Aniruddha Chore with 28no comfortably reached their target in 11.1 overs. In the Woodvale innings Aditya Adey had top scored with 42 while Peter Davison took 2 wickets. 

The previous evening, CSNI made it two wins from two after a 19-run victory over CIYMS at Stormont. Luke Georgeson was the star performer, scoring an unbeaten 75 – helping his side to 189-3. He also took a wicket as CIYMS could only manage 168-8 in 20 overs. 

At The Lawn, Waringstown's clash with Instonians was abandoned half-way through because of rain.
