Gallagher Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals Draw

NCU

The Gallagher Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals draw was conducted earlier today (Wednesday) by Shane Matthews, Gallagher NI Managing Director and NCU President Roger Bell.

There are two all-Premier League clashes set for July 18th with defending champions CIYMS drawn away to Woodvale.

Both clubs recorded impressive victories in the opening round with CIYMS beating Carrickfergus by 122 runs and Woodvale picking up a 10-wicket win against Templepatrick.

Lisburn will also host North Down at Wallace Park after both teams overcame Section One opposition in the first round on Saturday.

Cregagh's reward for progressing to the last-eight is a home encounter with Premier League side Instonians while 2018 finalists CSNI will welcome Derriaghy to Stormont.

"The Gallagher Challenge Cup quarter-final draw has given us two all Premier League matches and the two remaining Section 1 teams out to capture a Premier League scalp," said Bell. "I am looking forward to four exciting ties on Sunday 18th July."

Shane Matthews said "The Gallagher team really enjoyed our involvement with the previous round of the cup and we had representatives at every tie. The excitement of the cup really builds now that we're at the quarter final stage and we're hugely looking forward to a great set of matches on Sunday the 18th. Best wishes to everyone involved."
