The NCU are delighted with the hard work that Head Coach Simon Johnston has carried out with the Northern Knights senior team and the Emerging Knights. Four more players who have come through the Emerging programme have been included for the first time in the senior squad and the selectors are delighted to be able to reward four talented young players with call ups for doing well for both their clubs and the Emerging Knights.

Morgan Topping has been included on the back of being the leading run scorer in the Future series for the Emerging Knights as well as a number of classy performances for Waringstown.

Cian Roberston, like Morgan, impressed massively in the Future series and was leading wicket taker in that competition. James Hunter has had a very good year for his club Instonians and also had a very good Future series for the Emerging Knights. Tom Mayes finished up the third leading wicket taker in the NCU with 33 wickets and as well as this was a constant threat with the new ball for the Emerging Knights in the Future series putting in a number of tremendous displays.

James McCollum was not available due to a shoulder operation, Luke Georgeson has returned to New Zealand for the winter and Matthew Humphries was also not available due to his involvement with the Irish Under 19s.
