Robinson Services Senior League Awards - End of June to September 2022

Robin Walsh Robinson Services

The latest Robinson Services Awards for end of June, July, August and September 2022 took place recently. The Robinson Services awards go to players in the senior leagues who score a century, take at least six wickets (five wickets in Section 2) or perform a hat trick.

The presentations covered from the end of June to the end of the season.

The awards were presented by David Robinson, Managing Director of Senior League sponsors Robinson Services, and the President of the NCU, Roger Bell.

  1. Ronnie Balfour with Northern Cricket Union League awards for fellow Ards & Donaghadee club members Andrew Savage and Jordan McCluskey. Savage returned 6 for 12 against Dowpatrick and McCluskey 5 for 34 against Belfast CC to win their top awards.

  2. Belfast CC's Usman Ayub with his top NCU League award for his 5 for 27 against Cooke Collegians.

  3. BISC players Kumar Srinivasan (second left) and Prasanna Nagineni with NCU League awards for their respective performances of 6 for 11 v Drumaness Superkings and 123 v Downpatrick.

  4. Graeme Pollock receives three NCU League awards on behalf of two of his fellow Cooke Collegians members. Two were for Ryan Hanna for his 6-30 v Holywood and 5-41 v Belfast CC and the third went to Paul Kerr who returned 6 for 11 against Larne.

  5. Faisal Mansoor picks up three NCU League awards - one for himself and two for Drumaness Superking teammates. Faisal took 5 for 26 against Cooke Collegians for his award while Gary Moore hit an undefeated century against Cooke and Neil Walsh returned 5 for 23 v BISC to join the list of winners.

  6. Dunmurry's Neil Connolly collects his NCU league award for his undefeated 101 against Larne.

  7. Andrew Gray picks up two NCU League awards- one for himself, the other for Victoria teammate Bobby Babin. Andrew's award came with 5 for 26 against Dunmurry while Bobby returned 6 for 22 against Larne.

  8. Denis Johnston collects NCU League awards for two Lurgan club mates - one for son Stephen for his 109 against Ballymena. The other award goes to Callum Gibson who hit 122 against Dundrum.

  9. Armagh's Sam Wilson picks up a Northern Cricket Union league award for a top knock of 151 against Derriaghy. He also came away with an award for teammate JJ Strydom for his undefeated innings of 105 against Dundrum.

  10. Ballymena's James Kennedy picks up no fewer than three prestigious Northern Cricket Union league awards for teammate Liam Peters. The South African all rounder won his awards with bat and ball: centuries against Muckamore and Armagh and a six wicket haul against Donacloney Mill.

  11. Roger Bell usually hands out awards as president of the Northern Cricket Union but in this occasion he received one. It was one behalf of his Carrickfergus club mate CJ van der Walt whose knock of 124 against Waringstown won him a prestigious NCU league award.

  12. Jack Quinn receives an NCU league award on behalf of Cliftonville Academy club mate Dominic Hendricks. The South African professional won his prestigious award for his undefeated knock of 165 against Cregagh.

  13. Stuart Thompson receives a prestigious NCU league award on behalf of CSNI club mate Troy Johnston for his undefeated knock of 103 against Lisburn.

  14. Nigel Jones receives a prestigious NCU league award for his spell of 6-28 for CIYMS against North Down.

  15. Cade Cunningham picks up three prestigious NCU awards - one for himself and two for Instonians teammate Rob McKinley. The two players won awards in the same game against Cregagh with Rob hitting 164 and Cade an undefeated 115. Rob's other award came with his 114 against Woodvale.

  16. Callum Atkinson picks up a prestigious NCU award for Lisburn club mate Faiz Fazal for his knock of 101 against North Down.

  17. Alan Waite receives three prestigious NCU awards for Waringstown club mates. Two were for Ross Allen for his knock of 113 against Carrickfergus and bowling figures of 6 for 29 against Cliftonville Academy. The third award went to Morgan Topping for his 147 against Carrickfergus.

  18. Gavin Ringland picks up three prestigious NCU league awards - one for himself, the others for teammates James Ferguson and Estiaan Schonfeldt. The awards for Gavin and James came for centuries against Monaghan and Estiaan's was the result of his towering 173 against Victoria.
